Tax Exemptions
Please send the following information to TaxExemptForms@legion.org. You can also complete this fillable PDF and send it via email or fax (317) 630-1381.
- Organization name, address, & phone
- Important: Your organization's state-issued sales tax exemption form. If your state does not issue a sales tax exemption certificate, please provide either your basis for claiming an exemption or the sales tax exemption ID number issued to you by the state. Note that your federal tax ID number will not suffice.
- Contact name & email (used to log in and receive orders & account correspondence)
- If you already have a customer number, please include it.
Within 7-14 business days, we'll respond with instructions.
The following states do not exempt veterans organizations from paying sales tax on the basis of their status as 501(c)(19) organizations. For more information, please refer to your state's revenue department web site.
